EFC Crowns 4 More Champions!

Congratulations to EFC's Girls U14 White, Girls U12 White, Boys U14 White and Boys U12 White Teams. All of these teams were crowned 2011 Challenge Cup Champions.  The Girls U14 White team earned a repeat championship!  Congratulations to the coaches and players for a job well done!

The Boys 96 White, Coached by Stuart Lee after their championship win against the Sun City Strikers.   This team cruised through bracket play, scoring 15 goals with no goals against.    The quarterfinal game ended 3-2 against MVP.  They earned a 1-0 victory against MIFC United in the semifinals.  The final score in the championship game was 2-0.  Great work boys! 

The Girls 96 White, coached by Emily Cole, also showed their dominance in bracket play by shutting out each opponent and scoring 10 goals.  The quarterfinals continued to show their talent with a 3-0 win against Snohomish.  Things tightened up in the semifinals, but the girls pulled out a 1-0 win against Alliance FC.  In the finals they faced a tough WPFC. Once again they pulled out a 1-0 victory to earn a repeat championship!  Keep up the great work girls!


The Boys 98 White, coached by Kei Kinoshita advanced 2nd out of bracket play after applying the tie breaker rules.  They sailed through the elimination round of 16 and beat FC Alliance 2-1 in the quarterfinals.  The semifinal round was a tough game against the EFC U12 Blue team (see the photo below of both EFC teams).  The Blue vs. White game advanced to overtime before the white team secured a victory.  The final game against Sun City earned them a hard fought championship!  Congratulations!


The Girls 98 White team, coached by Kelli Smith, moved through bracket play undefeated, shutting out each opponent.  They continued strong through the playoff rounds beating Crossfire and MRFC 2-0 in the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds.  The final victory against Federal Way secured the championship for the Girls 98 White team!  Way to go girls!
