As you know, Eastside FC will be purchasing new adidas uniforms through Eurosport this year. Local program Play It Forward will be working with national program PassBack to collect and distribute our old uniforms to kids in need across the world.  Here are some details of the program, courtesy of the players in charge....

Who:  Casey Kovarik, Anna Deweirdt, and Maddie Christ, members of the EFC Girls '94 Red team, have taken the lead in collecting the club's old uniforms.

What:  Whether you want to donate your entire uniform set (jerseys, shorts, warm-ups, bags, etc.) or just a single piece, we’ll take it! Items will be collected on an individual basis — no need to coordinate with your team. We’ll also take gently used cleats, shin guards and balls.

When:  The collection will take place in early June, once Eastside FC teams have possession of their new uniforms.

Where:  We’ll collect at the Preston Fields during team practices.

Why:  It’s amazing the happiness, excitement and sense of team that a set of uniforms can bring to a group of young soccer players. The turnover of the entire club’s uniforms makes this a prime time to donate our old uniforms to a great cause.

What is Play It Forward?  A program started by Skyline High School students Emily Baer and Katie Ulrich, which collects soccer equipment and works with non-profit organizations to distribute it around the world. Since Emily and Katie will graduate this year, we, along with other players from Issaquah Soccer Club, will be assuming leadership of Play It Forward.
