Rob Savette Nominated for Golden Scarf
Rob Savette – an Eastside FC dad - has been nominated for a Sounders FC Golden Scarf. Rob was nominated because of his passion for soccer, a passion that drove him to become a season ticket holder in the inaugural year of the MLS (1995) and travel 5000 miles round trip to see games. Rob was a licensed coach for many years and both his sons have played and coached for Eastside FC. His youngest son Kyle is 17 and plays for Mark Kovats U18 team and has been with the team since he was 9 years old. His oldest son Jake played for Eastside FC and is currently an assistant coach with Michael Smith. In addition Rob’s wife Gerry started playing the game after she turned 50 and started an all-rookie over-50 womans team!
